Wynn Las Vegas Unveils Stunning Refresh to Parasol Up Lounge

The popular hotel lounge reopens with a new look and elevated cocktail program featuring a selection of craft cocktails on draft

LAS VEGAS (January 13, 2017) – Parasol Up at Wynn Las Vegas debuts a completely fresh design and beverage program after undergoing an extensive renovation in December 2016. The casino-level lounge, located directly up the escalators from the Lake of Dreams and adjacent to Parasol Down, provides the perfect setting for guests to enjoy a specialty handcrafted cocktail in a lively and inviting atmosphere.

The space has been fully redesigned to offer a much lighter, breezier feel with curtains in soft creams and gold, and trimmed down sheers replacing heavy draperies. The exposed bar area offers spectacular views of the active casino floor, the blossom-filled atrium and the 40-foot waterfall that cascades down into the Lake of Dreams, where nightly shows run every half-hour from dusk to 12:30 a.m.

The bar itself is advanced and efficient, boasting truly state-of-the-art technology, combined with quality ingredients and depth of knowledge by the beverage team to offer guests a unique, interactive experience. The all-new cocktail menu features perfectly balanced libations exclusive to Parasol Up, with a selection of inventive artisanal cocktails available on draft.

"We truly have something for everyone on the new menu," said Damian Cross, Wynn Las Vegas's property mixologist. "With the ease of craft cocktails on draft, we're simplifying the process without taking away from the experience. The menu is meant to not only taste great, but be aesthetic with specialty glassware, custom ice and unique garnish and color."

The seasonally driven beverage program also features a variety of fresh garnishes, syrups and infusions all handcrafted in-house. Guests can enjoy the Boysenberry Delight made with Boysenberry Vodka—exclusive to Wynn Las Vegas—pom cherry juice and St. Germain Liqueur, garnished with a dehydrated rose and atomized tableside with a house made seasonal citrus oil. Other selections include the Jack Frost made with Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack, Clément Mahina Coconut liqueur and mint verbena syrup, garnished with chocolate mint and powdered sugar; Mojave Sunset, a combination of Bombay Sapphire Gin and Mojave grapefruit soda topped with marigold and mint; and the Up, Up, Up cocktail – a playful version of an espresso martini garnished with star of anise and a spritz of absinthe from a vintage atomizer diffuser.

Parasol Up is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. No reservations are needed or accepted. Business casual attire is requested.
