LAS VEGAS — (Mar. 6, 2018) — Wynn Las Vegas has appointed Jonathan Bauman as the executive chef of The Buffet, voted "Best Buffet" in Las Vegas by the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association. Chef Bauman transitions from his role as executive chef of in-room dining, where he oversaw room service operations for Wynn and Encore.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Bauman joined Wynn Las Vegas in 2008 and has held numerous positions within the food and beverage department, including chef de partie and assistant chef for the resort, assistant executive chef of room service and assistant executive chef of The Buffet. Before taking on the role as executive chef of in-room dining, Bauman enjoyed a short stint as chef de cuisine of in-room dining at The Cosmopolitan.
The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas features global cuisine with 15 live-action cooking stations presenting rotisserie grilled steakhouse cuts, coast-to-coast seafood and over 120 artfully presented dishes. Operating hours for breakfast Monday through Friday are from 7:30 to 11 a.m., for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and dinner from 3:30 until 9:30 p.m. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with gourmet dinner hours from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
